We are based in Mobile, Alabama, and regularly teach at Styx River Shooting Center, a beautiful outdoor range conveniently located just off I-10 in Baldwin County. The facility provides a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for training.

New Orleans, Louisiana
We’re proud to partner with Neutral Ground Gun Company in Arabi, Louisiana. Our courses are held in this modern indoor facility during private hours when the range is closed to the public, giving our students exclusive use of the training space.

Additional Locations
We can conduct our live-fire courses at most shooting ranges or on privately owned property, depending on client needs and site suitability.

Our non-shooting firearm safety courses are offered in the comfort of clients’ homes, as well as in local churches and community centers, providing a flexible and approachable learning environment.

No, you do not need to bring a firearm to class.

If you already own a pistol or have access to one, you’re welcome to bring it. However, students may also use our training pistols throughout the course.

We strongly discourage purchasing a firearm before taking this class. A firearm is a significant investment, and this course gives you the opportunity to try several options so you can make a more informed and confident decision.

Our 3-hour New Client Safety & Live-Fire Course is led by two experienced female instructors and is intentionally limited to 6–8 students to ensure personalized attention.

The first hour is dedicated to firearm safety, core fundamentals, and empty-weapon manipulation, building a strong foundation before any live-fire begins. Each student will start by shooting our training pistols, then have the opportunity to choose their preferred firearm for the remainder of the session.

All shooting is conducted individually to maximize safety, focus, and instructor feedback. Students will leave the course with their paper target as a record of their progress, along with a certificate of completion.

Not much—we provide everything you need to fully participate, including eye and ear protection, targets, training pistols, and ammunition.

If you choose to bring your own pistol, please also bring the appropriate ammunition for your firearm.

We recommend that all students bring a ball cap, a water bottle, and a positive attitude.

We encourage our “pistols” to continue building their skills through regular practice. Graduates of our Safety & Live-Fire Course are invited to join our Monthly Shooting Club.

This 2-hour session meets once a month and is designed to reinforce fundamentals while helping students grow in confidence and proficiency.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own firearm, ammunition, safety gear, and targets. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.

There is no strict minimum age requirement. We frequently work with family groups, including mother/daughter pairs of varying ages.

For any minor, a parent or guardian must be present during the class, and we defer to the parent’s discretion in determining their child’s readiness to participate.

Absent any discounts or scholarships, the 3-hour small group course is $175 per student.

Groups of 6–8 women who book together will receive one complimentary spot. We also offer a family discount for groups of four or more participants.

A limited number of scholarships are available—please contact us directly for more information.

The course is $25 per attendee. Each child must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian. Discounts are available for parents with multiple children. These courses are offered by request—please contact Melissa directly for more information and scheduling.
