The Rundown:
This is a three-hour live-fire range course for new clients. Generally speaking, we will spend the first hour or so handling empty weapons in order to familiarize you with them….. and the balance of our time shooting. Students will shoot one at a time. You can expect to shoot approximately 25 rounds of ammo. I will meet you where you are when it comes to weapon knowledge and handling, and then we will advance through a curriculum intended to build your confidence using live-fire exercises. You will learn: the rules for safe gun handling; weapon retention; range etiquette; loading and “making safe” a pistol; proper grip and stance; sight alignment; sight picture; how to safely handle and shoot; fundamentals of shooting; strong and weak hand shooting; and how to safely store and transport your firearm. I will share Alabama State law with you and we will also talk through various scenarios….. So please bring your questions!
